Well there is now a scheme that offers cheap travel insurance for the over 65s without those irritating medical questions. You can even include pre-existing medical conditions. A Pre-existing Medical Condition is considered to be

Any past or current Medical Condition that has given rise to symptoms or for which any form of treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or follow-up/check up has been required or received during the 12 months prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to any Trip: and
Any cardiovascular or circulatory condition (e.g. heart condition, hypertension, blood clots, stroke, aneurysm) that has occurred at any time prior to the commencement of cover under the policy and/or prior to any Trip.

14-day Insurance Refund Guarantee

If you change your mind after buying the policy MRL Insurance will refund your money as long as you return the policy document to them within 14 days of receiving it. MRL Insurance will only refund your money as long as you have not travelled or made a claim.

Our senior citizen travel insurance policies provide single trip and long stay policies for mature and retired people aged 65 to 89 years and annual multi-trip policies for people up to the age of 79.

A choice of policies:

Insure-All policies are available to UK and EU residents and provide Single Trip cover for customers aged up to 89, (65 to 79 years - 93 days and 80 to 89 years - 31 days) and Annual Multi-trip cover for customers up to 79 (65 to 74 years - 45 days and 75 to 79 years - 31 days). Covers most pre-existing medical conditions with no extra charges and no higher excesses for people aged under 80.
Standard cover policies are available to UK residents only and offer Single Trip cover up to 31 days and Annual cover up to 31 days per trip for customers up to the age of 79. There is no cover for pre-existing medical conditions with this policy.
