Why Wedding Insurance?
What would you do if something went wrong and you were forced to unexpectedly cancel the big day?
Wedding cancellation insurance covers those costs to which you are committed even if the event does not take place.

So what does wedding cancellation insurance cover?
If the wedding cannot take place through the reasons given below it covers those costs you have paid or to which you are committed:
- Inability of the bride or groom to be able to take part. This also extends to Close Relative where continuing with the wedding would be “inappropriate”
- Redundancy of the bride or groom
- Loss or damage to the bride or groom’s wedding clothes
- Non appearance of one of the key services or the officiating minister or registrar
- Closure of the wedding venue through an outbreak of infectious disease
- Inability of the wedding party to reach the venue due to adverse weather
Does it cover weddings taking place overseas? Yes, but it does not cover travel and accommodation.
Is there any cover for photography and video? - Yes. Wedding insurance covers the costs of re-takes in the event of:
- Non-appearance of the photographer
- Damage to the film
- Non development of the film or media by the photographer
What about liability for injury to guests and others involved in the wedding. The standard insurance covers public liability for the bride and groom. You can include public liability for all guests for an additional premium.
